Goggly Meatballs

Goggly Meatballs

These are the books I used to make the meatballs. Now, you're probably wondering why I'm using two books? Well, it's because I'm allergic to egg. I took some of the recipe from one book that used egg and some from the other that didn't use egg. I used breadcrums instead of egg to keep the meatballs together. But you will probably just have to use egg.

But when it came to chopping the onions I had a problem.

My eyes just didn't stop watering!!!

But this was my cunning solution....

I had to chop the onions because it said to use vegetables to fry your meatballs in. I used onion, celery and carrot. Then I put my meatballs in the oven and meanwhile I let my veggies cook. Next I put some tomato sauce called passata on top of the veggies and put my meatballs in it. By the way, the sauce was REALLY NICE!  I put some salt in water and put in the spaghetti. When it was cooked I poured out the meatballs with the lovely sauce and then served up the spaghetti. I grated some parmesan cheese over the top and dug in!

This is what it looked like. One of my all time favourites!!!

    On top of spaghetti
    All covered in cheese
    I lost my poor meatball
    When somebody sneezed.
    it rolled off the table
    And on to the floor
    And then my poor meatball
    Rolled out of the door.

  2. It rolled in the garden
    and into a bush
    and then my poor meatball
    was nothing but mush!
    So if you eat spaghetti
    all covered in cheese
    hold onto your meatball
    and don't ever sneeze!

    I love that song!!
Did the goggle technique work then? I've heard that if you put a teaspoon in your mouth then that helps too.
