I am the Cooking Goalie!

My name is Alex and I'm a goalie! I am 10 years old and my new hobby is cooking.

The first thing I cooked was lamb chops with new potatoes and rosemary. If any of you are vegetarians then you might want to not read this!!! I got the recipe from an Italian cookbook called 'The Silver Spoon for children'. It's got loads of cool and exciting recipes that are actually quite easy! So basically, it was lamb chops, seasoned with mint, lemon juice and garlic with new potatoes. I also did some carrots to go with it and a couple of baby sweetcorns. The chops and potatoes were roasted all together in a big tray. I did most of it myself, although my Mum bought the stuff in Tesco and did the washing up. Ha ha ha!!!

My brother, my Mum and my Dad all really enjoyed it at the end!!!

  2. Looks very scrumy and impressive! You could definitely teach Ellen a few lessons. She manages to burn even baked beans! What's next on the menu then?

  4. I bet it'll be so nice that the chicken would have wished it was alive to taste it! Are you going to make anything special for easter? I'm making an easter lunch this year but not really sure what to make. I'm thinking a nice quiche as that's quite spring-ish. Any ideas chief?!

  5. It might be quite nice to cook something with lamb. Maybe you could do something like lamb with potatoes, vegatables and gravy? For pudding you could maybe do something chocolatey such as chocolate mousse and have something nice to drink?

  6. yes lamb sounds like a good idea. My mum mentioned that as an idea too. Lamb is very much in season so it would fit in with easter wouldn't it.
